Visible Mending II
This is the second in a two part series. While it is not required that you take part 1, you will need to know basic embroidery stitches.
In this beginners class, hand mender Silke Kluth returns to lead you on an exploration of amazing ways to use simple embroidery stitches, alone or in combination with other patching techniques, to form beautiful motifs and patterns. You will make a unique patch to cover up holes or stains on non-stretch fabric, like cotton shirts or denim jeans. Bonus, this "mending brooch" is absolutely giftable!
For class you have the option of stitching your patch as a stand alone item or bringing a garment (or bag or any other fabric item) that needs to be fixed / embellished. All materials will be provided and you are welcome to bring your own materials.
